Snorlax Pokemon

So the owner of this tattoo sent it in so I could post it to have folks comment on what they thought about it and vote on it. All he said was it is a Snorlax tattoo. Not being well versed in WTF a Snorlax is and lacking the desire & willpower to Google it on my own to find out what a Snorlax was…I sent an email back asking if a Snorlax was some kind of Pokemon. He answered yes it was a Pokemon and called me a dick. Nice. Well…here ya go Pokemon Snorlax tattoo wearing doucher…you’re up on the site. Cheers.

I get a lot of folks sending in their own tats to get up on the site actually. I think it’s cool that folks want to put their ink up and let people comment/vote on it.

I question the decision making of someone who looks into the future and envisions themselves as a 40 year old with a Pokemon tattoo. Short sighted to say the least.

hahahaha this kid is a dick for getting this tattoo…..what is the meaning of it? pokemon were cool for a year in grade 5 but getting a tattoo of one…..it looks like a koala bear with down syndrome

There’s a huge number of people on this planet that not only know what Pokemon is now, but will probably remember it for ages to come. To the person above me, “What is the meaning of it?” is too broad. Maybe it’s laughable in your eyes but definition is in the eye of the beholder. “What does it mean to you?” would have been more fitting, and may (just may) bring up an answer that isn’t ridiculous.
Personally I have a Final Fantasy IX based tattoo on my back, and it’s probably one of the most wonderful decisions I’ve ever made. Less particular than a single Pokemon, maybe, but obscure nonetheless.

I’ve seen some wonderful and beautiful designs for pokemon tattoos that really show the tattoo means a lot to the person who got them. However, this is not one of them. It looks plain and like the person just took it from the page of the Official Pokemon Handbook. This, of course, could also be the fault of the tattoo artist who may not have wanted to take the extra effort to add a little more “umph” to his/her work. Either way, it looks uninspired.

I think that this tattoo is freaking awesome. I have actually been thinking about getting it on my calf. I have 2 full sleeves and working on my back piece, and I think it is BS to think every tattoo has to “mean something”.

If there is no meaning what is the point? If you want something just to be cool as a kid get a temp. That way there will be no awkward moments later in life, you can say “I got this because…” Even if it’s just “I was just drunk in Mexico. Hell of a weekend though!” Rather than trying to explain your My-Little-Pony tattoo you got on a whim to your frat brothers, or that girl at the beach.

There doesn’t need to be a point. I have two half sleeves and a cpl randoms…I believe that the tattoos are works of art. Would you need to have a meaning for a painting to put it up in your house?

Personally, I think it’s cool that this guy got a Snorlax tattoo. Albeit, its pose is a bit unoriginal, but Snorlax is an awesome Pokemon if you have ever watched the series.
If this guy is like me, he has been playing Pokemon since it came out 10 years ago. That isn’t something you can just grow out of!
