One of the stupidest things you can do is get a tattoo based on a photograph. Even if the artist gets it right, and VERY few can, the magic won’t last. Your body is NOT a canvas. It’s a body. And it’s covered with skin. Skin will expand and contract as a person gains and loses weight. It will get dry and wrinkle as a person grows old. It will sunburn and fade repeatedly. And their beloved will look like Silly Putty had been applied to their picture and played with.
If your beloved starts out looking like Truman Capote wearing a Beatles wig, as in this example, you’re screwed from the get-go.
