Three Kinds of Fail
These three entries were sent in by Your Tattoo Sucks fan Anna. Not only did Anna send them in, she wrote up her own commentary. Here ’tis without alteration:
I only have one tattoo at this point, but I have done a lot of research and I know a bad tattoo when I see one. Just had to point these gems out lol. Okay, this first one is just plain sad. I think this girl got this tattoo so she could compete in her town’s annual wonky contest. There was no attempt to make the legs match, the wings look diseased, and what’s with the damn beer gut? Gross. The second one is straight out of the epic fail catalog hahaha. Misspelled tattoos are so incredibly terrible that I can’t even begin to express how painful they are to look at. The artist (or the person he was tatting?) evidently has some personal bias against apostrophes. Also, it’s “you’re” not “your”. Dumbass. Oh well, at least it will wear off in a few weeks. Oh wait, that’s right. It’s permanent. Everyone who looks at you will be constantly reminded that you are not an English major. Idiot. I don’t really have a beef with the hello kitty tattoo in this last one. It’s done fine, although personally I wouldn’t have chosen the forehead. It reminds me of the rub on tattoos I used to put all over myself when I was 5. I hate the pacman tattoo on his neck, however. The coloring looks awful. Did he mean for it to look like that? I just think it’s wrong. Okay, who agrees with me? Or disagrees? I’d love to hear.

OK, yes, these tattoos are pretty awful… What’s worse though is the fact that in that second tattoo, there are TWO spelling mistakes, not one! “…the cards your delt…”, that should be “…the cards you’re DEALT…”
If he was smart enough, and had a decent artist, he MIGHT be able to add an apostrophe and the missing e to “you’re”, but there’s no fixing delt… you’ve got to love when people don’t consider the concept of “forever”…

Three spelling mistakes actually, so it’s even worse! There should be an apostrophe in “its”.
My eyes simply don’t want to believe that the Hello Kitty can possibly be real. However, it does mildly detract attention from that horrendous make-up job! I usually make an effort to pay most attention to covering a blemish, rather than covering everything but.

the tattoos dont look nearly as disgusting as that mans face…that hello kitty tattoo is just adding another reason for that man to go through life with a bag over his head, not for his benefit but for everyone elses…couldnt just not say anything about the “fairy”…i guess you could say this is in her defense. some people dont care about having a good sense of what a good tattoo is. this fairy drawing is probably meaningful in some way, whether she drew it herself, or whatever the reason. ive seen plenty of nowhere-near-perfect tattoos that are obviously sketches meant to be flawed.

I REALLY love the design of the second picture. It’s just such a shame that it’s not spelled correctly, because it would be tops on my awesome scale.

the second picture makes me sad. the artist is a DAMN good black and grey artist. and, as humans, we make mistakes in our stenciling. i make it a habit to have all the other artists in my shop check my spelling and placement before i start, for good measure. mistakes do happen. they shouldnt. but they do. give him hell for the spelling and grammatic errors..but pat him on the back for a good black and grey piece.

The second one would be awesome had it not been misspelled. The Hello Kitty one is creepy. Having a daughter of my own, I would advise her to stay far far away from that guy… that’s just weird. Why the hell would you get hello kitty on your face, especially a guy? The fairy cupid whatever tattoo is just wow, so bad.

i think the hello kitty was put there in order to distract people from the missing eyebrows, and sepsis… oh wait, is the blue line a tattoo as well? gee, i thought it was blood poisoning.

THANKS for the laughs. The fairy kind of looks like a giant parade balloon that is losing air badly. The punctuation and spelling mistakes would drive me crazy to look at a lot. The Hello Kitty? Hello? Are you seven?

why the blue lines on the hello kitty one? :S looks stupid!! and the cards picture isn’t too bad its the spelling, the first one i just don’t know but it freaks me out
