Your Tattoo Sucks

Wow. I almost need sunglasses to look at this full back tattoo. Damn that is some serious orange action you got going there pal. The artwork is actually really well done and you went full back which is awesome…but I’m not so sure this much orange really works.  I get what you were going for there with Cloud City and an orange sky backdrop…but damn dude.  I do dig the Cloud City (haven’t seen anyone do that yet in a tattoo) and the Millenium Falcon and X-Wing are cool looking. Just a wee bit much on the orange if you ask me.

Use the force Luke…and get a tattoo of a light saber on your arm. I gotta admit the grayscale work on this tattoo is a thing of beauty, but I’m not sure I’m digging the placement. I would have gone with an upper side of the thigh placement like it is hanging off your belt, but hey…I also wouldn’t get a light saber tattoo.  Each to their own. If this doesn’t get you a 10% discount at your local comic book store, nothing will.

Yeah, I’m in a Star Wars kinda mood today so here is another one (expect a few more to follow).  Hard to tell what a lot of the stuff is on there, but gotta commend the guy for his dedication to the films. That large X-Wing on the right side of his chest (photo left) is awesome. I really hope he keeps on finishing out the rest of the arm and front stomach and full back. I mean you might as well since you’re already about half way there anyway. The only negative I would say on this overall flow is that there is too much repeating going on with the same items/characters. Side note, does anyone else out there think the camo hat with this kind of tattoo seems a little…well…out of place?

I was out cruising the intergalactic interwebs and found this tattoo posted on one of the numerous Star Wars blogs so wanted to share it. This is one hardcore fan and an impressive full color sleeve.  A lot of sleeves out there are blended versions of multiple tattoos that aren’t tied together by any overlapping theme but this one is obviously designed as one large montage of Star Wars awesomeness.  The only thing I’m not digging is the addition of Darth Maul. The rest of the tattoo is all images from the original trilogy so this one sticks out as not being in line with the rest of it. Oh well. I’m sure some of you non-Star Wars fans or Trekkies out there will think this one sucks. Thoughts?

When I opened up this picture I busted out laughing…seriously…none of that fake LOL but really didn’t LOL stuff. The original Adam West Batman movie is absolutely the most ridiculous thing you have ever seen. And by ridiculous I mean campy and hysterical. My two favorite scenes in that movie are Batman trying to get rid of the bomb and the scene where a shark bites his leg while hanging from a helicopter. I definitely give this guy props for being committed to the design cause that is one huge tattoo. Plus I have to give him kudos for having a great sense of humor by putting this image from a hilarious piece of cinematic history on himself. I’d be glad to buy you a beer any day of the week sir and talk Batman awesomeness.

So this has been kicking around the compuinnerwebs for a few days so figured what the hell I might as well post it here for you fine folks.  Rumor on the skreet is this was a made for Ray-Ban sunglasses as part of a viral marketing campaign. So…I’m either helping spread the corporate propaganda effort by posting this youtube video…or you get to see a total asshat get a real tattoo of glasses on his face. In either scenario…we as a human race all still lose.
